Tattered flags

Tattered flags

Shattered bodies

Broken windows and broken hearts.

Rumbling foundation

Rumbling bombs

Water leaks

Blood trickles onto the streets.

Singing, laughing

The children gather.

these children, the children of the world.

A body

so thin.

Gangly almost

Grey, ashen, covered in dust.

Burns across forearms- salmon pink

Doctor, treat him!

Oh wait.

There’s no aid.

No medications.

A face terrorised.

Eyes vacant.

Seeing beyond this world.

Why?

won’t

the

world

See

what

is

happening?
